Plot:
The 1970s: A young woman is murdered by an unidentified assailant. Having committed the murder, the mystery killer – who is still traumatised by his childhood memories – receives a mysterious envelope slipped under his door. The hunter becomes the prey when he finds out that the envelope contains photos that show him killing the his female victim…
Reviews:
“Lo-fi, ambitious and hypnotic, the film is certainly meant for those with giallo-inclined taste and previous experience. Sonno Profondo unfolds largely from the killer’s POV (though it’s not found footage), giving a sort of constricting tunnel vision feel. This is heavy, specific style and it wants you to strap in.” Samuel Zimmermann, Fangoria
