The eighth series of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology American Horror Story is officially called AHS: Apocalypse. The new season is the keenly-anticipated crossover season featuring season one’s Murder House and season three’s Coven.
AHS: Apocalypse will star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, and Joan Collins. Plus, it has been confirmed that Jessica Lange is making a welcome return to AHS.
The eighth season of the horror anthology series will premiere on FX on September 12, 2018.
Meanwhile, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf has confirmed in an interview with Deadline that the show is being renewed until Season Ten.
Asked if AHS would continue after that he mused: “I think the eighth cycle, which is currently in production, is awesome and crazy, and I think the fans will really like it. Part of what’s cool about American Horror Story is its anthology nature. So it comes down to whether Ryan and his collaborators, like (show runner) Tim Minear, could come up with stories that they are excited about.”
