Transylvania is a 2017 American TV horror series being developed by The CW, executive produced by Midnight Radio, comprised of Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, the team behind CBS’ summer series Zoo.
Written/executive produced by Hugh Sterbakov (Hell And Back), the series is set in 1880. A headstrong young woman in search of her missing father ventures from New York City to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard detective, and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history.
Deadline Hollywood has reported that Australian actress Laura Brent has been cast in the lead role. Jason Ensler is directing the pilot episode.
