Corpse Party (original title: コープスパーティー) is a 2015 Japanese horror film directed by Masafumi Yamada (Hitori Kakurenbo Gekijōban, Hontō ni Atta Kowai Hanashi) and starring Rina Ikoma, Ryōsuke Ikeoka and Nozomi Maeda. The film is based on the highly-successful Corpse Party video game series. It is scheduled for release in Japan on August 1, 2015, alongside a simultaneous live stream on Niconico Live.
Xseed Games released the PSP version of the original Corpse Party game in North America and Europe, as well as the follow-up game Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. Xseed Games also announced last year that it will release the original Corpse Party game for PC.
The franchise has also inspired several manga adaptations as well as the Corpse Party Missing Footage and Corpse Party: Tortured Souls -Bōgyaku Sareta Tamashii no Jukyō- video anime.
