Ghoul is a 2015 Czech/Ukrainian horror film directed by Petr Jákl (AVP: Alien vs. Predator; Pterodactyl; Bathory: Countess of Blood) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Petr Bok. It stars Jennifer Armour, Jeremy Isabella, Paul S. Tracey, Debra Garza, Alina Golovlyova and Kevin Clarke.
The film opens theatrically in New York and Los Angeles March 20, 2015 via Vega Baby Releasing.
A group of American documentary filmmakers are investigating how cannibalism swept through Ukraine during the notorious famine of 1932. After being lead deep into the vast Ukrainian forest for an interview with one of the last known survivors of the cannibalism epidemic, they are plagued with a series of unexplainable supernatural encounters.
